Practice Nurses

We have an experienced and dedicated team of GP practice nurses.

Judi Brydone and Fiona Ross are all registered nurses with experience of both community and hospital nursing. Nurses are very happy to advise patients who have any concerns about health matters. It may of course be appropriate to refer you to a doctor. Appointments are made at reception or by phone.

Practice Nurse appointment times:

Monday-Tuesday 8.30am – 5.30pm
Wednesday 8.30am – 5.30pm
Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm

Please note: The reception staff will ask why you want an appointment with the nurse – this is to ensure that the correct amount of time is given for you consultation.

We also have a qualified phlebotomist (someone who helps the doctors and nurses by performing routine blood tests) in the practice.

Our Practice Nurse Services include:

• New Patient Registration
• Routine injections and blood sampling
• Dressings
• Diabetic and asthma clinics
• General health checks
• Ear syringing
• Weight reduction and healthy eating advice
• Blood pressure checks
• Cervical smears – if you are not sure whether you need one, the nurse will be happy to advise
• Travel vaccinations – if travelling abroad please ask receptionists for a questionnaire so that vaccinations can be organised in advance.
